Efrain Escudero and Dan Lauzon will square off at UFC 114 on May 29th. This fight should bring a lot of excitement as there have been rumors of this fight taking place for months now. Efrain Escudero had suffered an elbow injury in the course of his loss against Evan Dunham in the beginning of the year. This injury had a lot of people wondering when Escudero would be able to return to the ring. The MRI results on the elbow look good and he is now ready to take on Lauzon. Escudero sports a 12-1 career record in mixed martial arts. His first loss ever was his last fight in which he sustained the elbow injury. On May 29 at UFC 114, the much-hyped fight between Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will no longer be taking place. Due to a shoulder injury, Griffin announced that he had to abruptly pull out of the fight. Hours after that announcement, with less then four weeks until the fight, Jason Brilz stepped up and agreed to take the fight against Noguiera. There has been a solid agreement and a verbal agreement between each camp to the fight will come shortly. The UFC lines are abuzz with this upcoming fight. In the octagon to Eliot Marshall, UFC 103 showed Brilz his first loss. Brilz was on an impressive streak of 13 straight wins before that defeat. Defeat, however, didn’t last long for Brilz.
