Tyson Griffin and Evan Dunham will fight in a Lightweight bout at UFC 115 this month in Vancouver.

Mirko Filipovic will face off against Patrick Barry in a heavyweight bout on Saturday at UFC 115 in Vancouver. These two fighters will match up with high expectations.
At Patrick Barry’s last fight he was the most impressive fighter to be seen at UFC 104. In his fight he earned the “Fight of the Night” award and also the “Knockout of the Night” award. He really showed up at his last fight and he will be watched closely by a lot of fans as he takes the ring again.
Barry is 5-1 in his career up to this point, and is not an extremely experienced fighter. This will be an advantage for Mirko Filipovic in this fight. Amir Sodollah will take on Dong Hyun Kim as part of the event. UFC 114 is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 29; the welterweight division at UFC 114 will be an exciting one.
Amir Sadollah, UFC betting lines favorite, boasts a record of 3-1 and is the winner of Ultimate Fighter 7. Since then he has kept himself out of the mat because of the multiple injuries and not allowed him to take many fights. Amir, in his previous two fights, showed that he is a heavy striker and has a lot of different combos up his sleeves. He took out Brad Blackburn and Phil Baroni in impressive fashion.

Efrain Escudero and Dan Lauzon will square off at UFC 114 on May 29th. This fight should bring a lot of excitement as there have been rumors of this fight taking place for months now.
Efrain Escudero had suffered an elbow injury in the course of his loss against Evan Dunham in the beginning of the year. This injury had a lot of people wondering when Escudero would be able to return to the ring. The MRI results on the elbow look good and he is now ready to take on Lauzon.
Escudero sports a 12-1 career record in mixed martial arts. His first loss ever was his last fight in which he sustained the elbow injury. Now that Escudero is healthy he looks to bounce back from his first career loss against Dan Lauzon, who has struggled in the UCF so far.

On May 29, at UFC 114, the undefeated heavyweight Todd Duffee will return to the cage to fight another up and coming heavyweight in Mike Russow. The fight is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Todd Duffee is an American Top Team heavyweight and first came into the UFC at the UFC 102 fight in 2009. Duffee is 23 years old and has an impressive record of 6-0 in his career. He is a heavy hitter and has finished all of his fights by way of technical knockouts.
He has beaten some impressive opponents including Assuerio Silva in September and also his most famous knockout was the seven second bout he had when he knocked out Tim Hague. He has a hulking frame and can be a real wrecking machine if he isn’t contained.

On May 29 at UFC 114, the much-hyped fight between Forrest Griffin and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will no longer be taking place. Due to a shoulder injury, Griffin announced that he had to abruptly pull out of the fight. Hours after that announcement, with less then four weeks until the fight, Jason Brilz stepped up and agreed to take the fight against Noguiera. There has been a solid agreement and a verbal agreement between each camp to the fight will come shortly. The UFC lines are abuzz with this upcoming fight.
In the octagon to Eliot Marshall, UFC 103 showed Brilz his first loss. Brilz was on an impressive streak of 13 straight wins before that defeat. Defeat, however, didn’t last long for Brilz. Lyoto Carvalho Machida was born May 30, 1978. He is a Japanese Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter from Salvador, Brazil and is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and a favorite fighter in all UFC lines. Lyoto Machida is 6ft 1 inch with a 74 inch reach and is known as “The Dragon”.
He earned his black belt at the age of 13. He also started training the art of Sumo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at age fifteen, at the age of twelve. He won the 2001 Pan American Karate Tournament and other amateur karate tournaments
Brazilian Sumo Championships, Machida was the runner up in 2000. Machida made his MMA debut, in Inoki’s New Japan Pro Wrestling. In The Ultimate Fighter 1, He then fought runner-up Stephan Bonner.
Machida fought Michael McDonald and Sam Greco in which he defeated and his record was 3-0. In K-1 Hero’s, he then beat B.J. Penn. On May 8 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, UFC 113 will be held. That night, a preliminary bout between Nick Catone and John Slater will be on the card. This contest will be a middleweight fight between the two UFC up-and-comers.
Over Jesse Forbes, Nick Catone is coming off a victory. He endured two consecutive losses in the octagon, prior to that victory. The 28 year old fighter holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and also has NCAA division 1 wrestling experience. He is looking to cause major damage in the UFC as he is a well rounded fighter.
Earlier this year, John Slater is coming off of a loss to Gerald Harris. He had won four fights in a row, before losing that match, none of which was a decision. He is looking to get a win here and hopefully start another string of victories in the UFC.

Fedor Emelianenko is a Russian heavyweight MMA fighter was born September 28, 1976. Previously the winner of Pride Heavyweight Championship and currently he is World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts Heavyweight Champion. He also won in Pride 2004 Grand Prix, World Combat Sambo championship and also medaled in the Russian National Judo Championship.
He was later by Vladimir Mihailovich Voronov and initially trained by Vasiliy Ivanovich Gavrilov. His greatest strengths are his perseverance and strong will power. He started learning Sambo and Judo techniques when he began fighting.
In 1997, Fedor received “Master of Sports” title in Sambo and Judo and also earned a bronze medal in Russian Judo Championship. Under coach Alexander Vasilievich Michkov he studied to strike. He debuted in MMA for Japanese RINGS organization and was not allowed to make any head strikes. At 25 years of age as at that time he had no money, he started Sambo mixed martial arts in 2000.
